Before beginning its ‘working life’, the process of creating any new character typically starts with an initial seed idea, be it a one-line paragraph, mood board or simple concept sketch. From there on, the process is an on-going collaboration - from the sketch and concept phase, Marquette models, swatch samples , prototype scale mock-ups, to the final completed functioning three-dimensional design. All characters are built and designed with priority consideration given to both aesthetics and performance. In addition to puppet creation, DWS offers a puppeteer and maintenance service as appropriate ensuring that your product/brand looks super shiny at all times so you can focus on greater detail and production overall.
